Attention all Volunteers!


*** Note: Thanks to all of you who volunteered for ReggaeFest 2009. The information below is provided to give visitors an idea of the volunteer application process. The on-line application form for ReggaeFest 2010 will return in May of 2010.

Here is your chance to volunteer for one of Calgary's best festivals for 2010. Volunteers are very important to ReggaeFest and without you we would not be able to continue doing this year after year. Thank you in advance for volunteering, we appreciate your help!

Please note the following significant dates:

July 15, 2009Deadline to submit your application (submit early to get preferred position)

July 20, 2009 – Positions will be communicated

July 29, 2009 – Approved Volunteer Information Meeting, ALL volunteers MUST attend.

August 12, 2009 - Approved Beer Garden, Green Room and VIP Volunteer Information Meeting. ALL volunteers in these areas MUST attend.

Please Note: This application does NOT guarantee you a volunteer position. All successful volunteer applicants will be contacted by July 20, 2009 and provided further information on the position they have been assigned to.

Pre-ReggaeFest Events

  • Thursday, August 13 - Ship and Anchor- 6:00 pm
  • Friday, August 14 - Olympic Plaza - 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
  • Friday, August 14 - Venue TBA - 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
  • Drivers

ReggaeFest Event Set Up - Shaw Millennium Park

  • Set Up Grounds: Friday, August 14 from 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm
  • Set Up Grounds: Saturday, August 15 from 8:30 am - 11:00 am

ReggaeFest Event - Saturday, August 15 - various shifts available throughout the day
Shaw Millennium Park

  • Beer Garden
  • Drivers (shifts throughout the week as well)
  • Front Gate / Ticket Sales
  • Green Room Host

Information for Vendors

Food vendors must comply with Alberta Health Services (AHS) health regulations and submit the "Participant Application Form for Special Events & Trade Shows" by June 15 - find these documents at the AHS site

Payment:

Due date Terms
Full payment due by July 18, 2009 once approved.
Non refundable.
Cash, or non-refundable certified cheque payable to Calgary Reggae Festival Society

Health inspection - Food vendors
End set up

Saturday, August 15 - 11:00 am Gates open to public
Saturday, August 15 - 11:00 am to 11:00 pm Festival time!
Sunday, August 16 - 9:00 am to noon Additional take down time if needed.
